This week, I gave my first readings for a couple of people. I had done some pre-reading meditation, because one person in particular was interested in their past lives. So I tapped into my spirit guides and asked them to tell me a little bit about this person's history. I received really interesting information, which I feel safe to share here because it's not going to disclose the identity of the persons. What was most interesting to me though was the validation I received during the reading itself.
I discussed what I learned about this person's past life, including the fact that I was told that one of their past lives was as part of a Germanic tribe. I was shown images of mounds- whether those mounds were burial or housing was unclear, but they were connected to one of the lives this person previously lived. Right after I told them this, this person said to me "I just visited some of those mounds in Great Britain. I felt very connected/drawn to them." I know this kind of thing happens to mediums that give readings on the regular, but just like all of my other experiences, this was new to me. It was so neat to hear that info I was receiving was registering with the intended recipient.
During the reading itself, I asked this person if there was anything they would like to ask their spirit guides. They wanted to know if they were on the right path in life at this moment. So I tapped into my spirit guides and asked them to connect with their counterparts. I was shown the outline of a fishing boat. Now I happen to know this person owns a fishing boat, so I wasn't surprised that I was being shown a boat. A skeptical person could say, "well Brooke, you knew this about this person so that was your own brain making it up." Except...
I drew the outline of the boat I was given a vision for, and I showed it to my sitter. They took one look at the boat and said "Yeah, that was a boat that I used to own - down to the trawler net wheel on the back of the boat." I had no way of knowing that this was a boat that this person used to own. I took the vision of the boat coupled with the validation of the info that the answer was yes, they were on the right path.
The other interesting thing that happened in my before-sitting meditation was about another of their past lives. I was shown the image of a Union soldier's hat and a rifle. I was told that one of their past lives was as a young union soldier, who was mortally wounded in a battle at the age of 18. My spirit guides gave me the name "Muskogee." In the moment that had no meaning to me, but I knew not to question it and just write it down. I paused my meditation for a moment to look up "civil war battle Muskogee." And wouldn't you know it? There was a significant battle in the civil war that took place near Muskogee, Oklahoma, called "The Battle of Honey Springs." I resumed my meditation and was scolded by my spirit guides. I was told "you should know better than to doubt us." Lol. I guess at least they have a sense of humor about it. I responded that it wasn't that I doubted the message, but I needed context for it to make sense to me.
I realize that as I practice my craft these kinds of things will become mundane to me. But in the mean time, it just astounds me that the info I'm receiving is being validated this way.
